Trane XB13 Heat Pump replacing an old Trane Air Conditioner, in Bowling Green, KY.  The old Trane Air Conditioner had a refrigerant leak in the indoor coil, the price of refrigerant and the age of the system helped the home owner decide on replacing it.  They stayed with Trane because of the great performance the old air conditioner had given.  The HVAC contractor used the existing furnace that had been installed after the Air Conditioner, to create an Add-A-Pump / Dual Fuel Heat Pump System.  The system uses a Honeywell Touch Screen Programmable Thermostat that controls the operation of the heat pump, switching over to the furnace at 35 degrees outside.  This type of system usually increases the life expectancy of the furnace and saves money on Bowling Green Utility Bills.
